Hypnotherapy for Phobias:
More than 10% of people will experience a simple phobia at some time in their lives. From elevators, spiders and birds, to heights, dentists and open spaces, there is nothing we can’t develop anxiety or phobias about. However, you do not have to be stuck with them forever, you can easily overcome fears and phobias with hypnosis, because most phobias are fairly common.
In many cases the phobic response can be eliminated very effectively using hypnosis. In the hypnotic state, you are deeply relaxed, and your conscious mind is quieted, therefore allowing your subconscious mind to deeply focus on your issue, in this case, your phobia. The hypnotherapist can establish the origin of the phobia, or trigger, and then give the subconscious new ways of managing those triggers and to deal with the phobia in a more rational manner.
The number of hypnosis sessions required to effectively deal with phobias can vary, and depends on several factors. These factors include how long the person has suffered the phobia, how severely the phobia affects them, maturity, personality, and how determined they are to be free from the phobia. Usually it will take approximately three or four hypnotherapy sessions. However, in the more severe cases it can take more.
